As a former federal prosecutor and a public defender in Washington County, Brian has been on both sides of the courtroom and he’s witnessed firsthand what needed to be fixed in the criminal justice system. He has prosecuted the big cases, like gun trafficking, public corruption, and destruction of natural resources. Through his work representing children and adults from poor and working-class households, he’s seen how the system fails too many families in Washington County. And as a father of a young daughter, he wants her – and all children – to grow up in a community that’s safe, treats everyone with respect, and ensures equal justice for all.
