Brian is a Chattanooga native, lawyer, community advocate and former Assistant District Attorney. He obtained his undergraduate degree in Political Science from Maryville College (TN), where he met his wife Mauriel. Brian then went on to earn his law degree from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. After returning home, he began his career as a legal liaison for the House of Refuge, where he advocated for alternative sentencing for our city’s most vulnerable communities. From there, he served as an Assistant District Attorney prosecuting violent crimes and felonies before joining a private firm.

He currently serves his community on various boards, and his country as an officer in the U.S. Navy Reserve. Brian has a new vision for City Court that includes a system to support Chattanoogans and improve the City Court.
